3rd Annual Golf Tournament Recap

Our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser at TurnBerry Golf Club was a reminder of what's possible when a community rallies for a movement greater than themselves.

The day brought together familiar faces and first-timers, all united in support of Enroute 2 Success’ free golf and chess program for youth. We welcomed dignitaries like Mayor Patrick Brown, MPP Charmaine Williams, Councillor Rod Power and Minister Dunlop.

Awards

Congratulations to our winning teams: Councillor Rod Power, Garnett Manning, Ross Cadastre, and Muhsin Kemalli! This marks the second victory for Rod and Garnett, clearly champions of consistency. Despite gusty winds that turned putts into unpredictable adventures, the putting competition brought out fierce focus and laughter from everyone who gave it a try. While most participants faced the challenge of scoring zero, Muhsin Kemall and Andrew from Peel Police broke through the breeze with impressive scores of 50, leading to a thrilling tie-breaker. Congratulations to Shaquielle Hall, who walked away with a $25 SportChek raffle prize.

Lunch Reception

After the golfers completed the 12-hole sponsored course, the afternoon reception featured a soulful saxophone performance by Joseph Callender, setting the perfect tone for celebration.

This year’s tournament launched the inaugural Gloria Baylis Award, awarded to a business or organization making a difference and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion. The prestigious Gloria Baylis Award was presented to TSF Law by Gloria’s niece, honouring the firm's excellence and community impact.

Vendor Market

Guests enjoyed a vibrant vendor market featuring local gems such as award-winning A+ Smoodees, Brampton Library, Spiced Silk, Barbados, Hidden Smirk Photobooth and Afro Crush—a true celebration of culture, creativity, and community.

Silent Auction

Guests journeyed down the hallway into the dining area, greeted by an elegant Silent Auction display, featuring thoughtfully donated experiences and gifts such as:

  • A round-trip Barbados sponsored by Barbados,

  • A catamaran for two, an aromatherapy massage, plus an infrared sauna session courtesy of La Peau D’Or

  • A 6-month LA Fitness membership

  • 3 hours of professional cleaning from D Touch Everyday Services,

  • An Ultimate Pedicure by La Peau D’Or

  • Aquapeel facials & laser therapy from Glamour Beauty Bar

  • A decadent Lindt chocolate gift basket

The day was a beautiful representation of what is possible when we work together. We’re grateful to everyone who made this event a success.
